FACILITATED KNOWLEDGE CO-PRODUCTION' MATAURANGA MAORI AND SCIENCE WORKSHOP

(presented by: Nga Kete o Te Wananga research programme)

The Ngā Kete o Te Wānanga: Mātauranga, Science and Freshwater Management research programme aims to enhance our understanding of the environment and develop new approaches that recognise the positive contribution mātauranga Māori can provide freshwater management decision-making processes in Āotearoa-New Zealand.
This workshop examines the following question “How can we develop and optimise synergies between science, mātauranga Māori, and other relevant factors to improve our freshwater management?”
This research is being carried out in two localities: Murihiku (includes the Southland Region) and Waitaki – Opihi.
